Elon Musk challenges Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to ask her Twitter followers who are less trusted, billionaires or politicians.

On Thursday, Elon Musk, founder of Space X and Tesla, continued his ongoing activism with New York Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, daring her to take a Twitter poll asking Democrats if they'd prefer to trust

Currently, the only vehicles AOC can consider is the massive Ford F-150 Lightning truck, which will be launched later this year, or the Chevy Bolt.

The Progressive Democratic congressman from the Bronx, which represents 14 congressional districts in New York, told Bloomberg that it bought its Model 3 in 2020 around the time Covid-19 started.

She added that she chose Tesla because it was the only electric vehicle brand that would efficiently move it from the Big Apple to DC, because it would complete the trip on a single charge or one and a half times.

But the timing of her comments raised eyebrows. Just a few weeks ago, Musk joked to AOC on Twitter to stop flirting with him after he was scolded about the billionaire’s planned purchase of the social media platform.

AOC’s tweet on Twitter: “Tired of having to collectively stress an explosion of hate crimes before some unilateral billionaire with an ego problem takes over and defaces a massive communications platform because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel took him to dinner and made him feel He is special.” On the 29th of April.

Three hours later, Musk responded to the congressman’s tweet, saying, “Stop hitting on me, I’m really shy.”

AOC engaged its long-term partner, web developer Riley Roberts, in Puerto Rico in April 2022.

She told the billionaire she wasn’t enjoying his comment: “I was talking about Zuckerberg but okay.”

The banter continued with the AOC later taking a screenshot of her tweet about Musk having an ego problem, writing in that message: “Like I said, ego issues.”

When asked why she later deleted the original tweet calling out the billionaire, the AOC wrote: “I try to avoid giving people with massive ego complexes such the attention and QTs/replies they crave and seek [when I can help it]”.

In May, Musk and the AOC went back and forth on Twitter after the congresswoman expressed her dislike of the South African-born billionaire's $44 billion takeover of Twitter.

Once her Instagram story was posted, the AOC posted a screenshot from the “ego problem” tweet with the caption: “If he’s looking for something to do, he can pay taxes.”

Musk said in December 2021 that he would pay more than $11 billion in taxes to the US government.

In May 2021, AOC’s Tesla Model 3 was spotted illegally parked outside Whole Food in the nation’s capital.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that a $35,000 Tesla with New York license plates and a Congressional parking card is photographed in a no-parking area near AOC’s luxury apartment in D.C. on May 14, 2021.

Sources told Free Beacon that AOC has been seen driving a white Tesla in the neighborhood on multiple occasions.

When asked on Wednesday about Tesla CEO Musk’s recent announcement that he will vote Republican from now on after he previously voted Democrat, the AOC said: ‘He’s a billionaire. I don’t care what he thinks.

Musk’s multi-billion dollar acquisition of Twitter has been put on hold, while a South African is investigating reports of the company’s users.

In May 2021, AOC's Tesla was caught illegally parked in front of a stop sign and in a no-parking area in the capital.

According to Bloomberg, other Democrats who own Tesla cars are Adam Schiff of California, David Cislin of Rhode Island, Lisa Blunt of Rochester, and Tom Malinowski of New Jersey.

Another owner is Tom Carper, chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.

On the other side of the lane, Republican Congressman Thomas Massey of Kentucky owns a Tesla that he modified with a “Friends of Coal” license plate.

He told Bloomberg: This isn’t a car company, it’s a battery company. The car is just their first killer app.

In 2019, before she bought a Tesla, a fake tweet from the AOC went viral while Hurricane Dorian was raging across Florida.

The fake message reads, “I’m seeing people rushing to fill up their cars because of this hurricane at the gas station. That wouldn’t be a problem if they had electric cars. If the power goes out for a week, how will they get gas? We need to start planning ahead and moving forward.”

According to Snopes: “The tweet was just a concocted fork intended to make Ocasio-Cortez look foolish.”
