2022.8.3 Tesla Official Release Notes

Help Tesla improve the intelligence of cabin camera-dependent features by sharing analytics from your vehicle. When enabled, cabin camera data will be shared with Tesla if the vehicle experiences a safety hazard such as a collision, or if the cabin camera function requires a diagnosis. This data includes short cabin camera videos to help us develop future safety features and software improvements such as collision avoidance updates. As usual, you can set your data sharing preferences by clicking on Controls > Program > Data Sharing > Allow cabin camera analytics.

Estimated charging times are now more accurate by taking the current battery pack temperature into account when connecting the vehicle to a third-party supercharger or fast charger.

Vehicle air conditioning accessed via the Tesla app will remain active up to 30 minutes after the door is opened, making it easy to load your vehicle without affecting the climate control.

Model 3 and Model Y

You can now hide your dial card, allowing you to see the next turn when the navigation turn list is covered. Tap the phone icon in the status bar to bring up the card again.

Model S and Model X

Active phone calls will now be displayed in the status bar at the top of the touch screen. You can answer, hang up or switch calls from the card at any time. Swipe up to ignore and tap the phone icon on the status bar to view again.

Your touch screen is now available in Czech. To switch your language settings, tap Controls > Display > Touchscreen Language.

Boombox features are now only available while standing.

When the vehicle’s maximum speed is set using Traffic Aware Cruise Control or Autopilot, a down or up arrow will now appear to indicate that the maximum speed has been set using the scroll wheel.

When Tesla rolled out the v11 update, there were some issues with the backup camera that caused a delay or video delay while using the camera.

This delayed video may make it appear that you have more space between you and the object behind you because the video stream may be paused for short periods.

This update contains fixes to improve the responsiveness of your vehicle’s backup camera.

This is an undocumented change in this release and a future feature in development.

Tesla continues to develop “cloud profiles”. Cloud profiles will allow you to sync specific vehicle profiles across different vehicles. A new code related to cloud profiles was found in 2022.8.2 which reveals details about how the feature works.
