Zanny’s masks and profile

Zanny is an awesome artist; every little thing that she works on becomes a fabulous project. Zanny is a perfectionist who takes time to study her subject in order to give her best artistic interpretation.  Furthermore, having a mask molded on your face is the best relaxation time you can have as you will feel that is like having a facial massage.

All of Zanny’s masks are handmade and most of the materials used are recycled such as paper, fabric, clay and the list goes on.  Zanny travels the city to fabric and furniture stores to sort through their stocks that they will not use or sell.  Stores that sell buttons and ribbons are also visited on a regular basis. Many of the masks are molded directly on a person’s face with strips of plaster which is an old technique used to make each mask unique.

In order to protect the finished product, Zanny uses Bee’s wax and waterbased varnish or glaze.
